There was a lot of talk about Arsenal's intention to sign a young but proven striker in the summer. However, a new forward has not appeared in Mikel Arteta's team, even though the intentions were there.
Details: Well-known insider Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Arsenal has abandoned the idea of signing a striker after the Canaries failed to get RB Leipzig's Benjamin Šeško at the start of the transfer window. The 21-year-old Slovenian himself this summer extended his contract with the ‘bulls’, although there is a gentleman's agreement between the parties that the forward can leave in 2025.
Reminder: Earlier Arsenal were also linked with signing Brentford forward Ivan Toney, but after internal discussions at the club it was decided that the England forward would not harmonise enough with Arsenal's squad.
